Olive Foam Back Upper River Pattern
Hook:	Daiichi 1130 size 18-22
Thread:	Olive 3/0 Uni-Thread
Tail:	Brown Hackle Fibers
Body:	Olive Thread
Rib:	None
Thorax:	Gray Dubbing
Wing:	White Foam
Instructions:	Place the hook in the vise. Secure thread near the throax and wrap back to the bend. Tie in 6-8 brown hackle fibers that extend about 3/4 the body length. Spin the thread tightly to form a rope then wrap the thread forward (it should give it a nice segmented effect). Tie in a small strip of foam at the thorax and leave both ends about 1/4" sticking forward and back.  It should look like a V from the side.. Dub the thread and build up the thorax in front of the foam V. Pull the front end of the foam over the thorax, tie off, and trim the foam. Trim the back end of the foam to form a stub wing. Whip finish and cement.
Variations & Comments:	This pattern is a great baetis emerger immitation.  It has worked very well for me in from the Texas Hole to the lower flats.  Works especially well at the beginning of a baetis hatch.  It is a great pattern for trailing behind a parchute adams during a good baetis hatch.  It can be tied small with no tail to also make a good midge pupa immitation.
